You’ve heard it your entire career: “People are your greatest asset.”

I’ve never fully agreed with that statement because people are not assets to be managed like equipment or technology. They are the driving force behind innovation, culture, customer experience, and business success.

Employees want more than a paycheck. They want to work in environments that reflect their values, invest in their growth, encourage collaboration and feedback, allow room to learn from failure, and give them the opportunity to make meaningful contributions to something bigger than themselves.
